Military Manpower Support

Description

Seeking a highly organized individual with the ability to achieve results, meet deadlines, and proactively anticipate the needs of our government client on a multi-year contract. A dynamic team player who provides administrative support in a variety of functions to individuals, departments, or Division Heads at SWRMC, NBSD 32nd Street, San Diego, CA.    Responsibilities include:

-SWRMC Military Manpower/Personnel Office Branch provides a broad range of customer service, administrative and clerical support services to military personnel and to various levels of the Chain of Command.

-Performs military check-out, RED/DA and SGLI processing.

-Performs clerical and technical work that requires knowledge of a Command Pay/Personnel Administrator (CPPA) Pay and Personnel (PAYPERS) Support Services.

-Knowledge of the following data systems: SALESFORCE and Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), BUPERS Online (BOL) and DoD SAFE (Secure Access File Exchange), 

-Assist in the development and implementation of new initiatives, when requested.

-Performs support work to maintain office administrative and FOUO files in accordance with Records Management directives.

-Performs work related to the practical and technical aspects of office administration including issues related to personnel administration, timekeeping, data processing and file management.

-Serve as the Administrative Liaison with the Personnel Support Detachment (PSD) for military personnel assigned to SWRMC

Knowledge of the Defense Travel System is a plus. Plan, direct, or coordinate one or more administrative tasks such as records management, timecard review, mail distribution, and other office support.

Functions as point of contact responsible for tracking the timely and accurate delivery of supplies or repairs as it applies to general facility management.

May be required to attend training to operate a golf cart or government vehicle in support of monthly maintenance schedules.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will bring 4-10 years’ experience in an administrative support field, similar to military Yeoman, or Personalist. Reports to a company supervisor as well as an on-site manager, working independently with minimal guidance. Possess an enthusiasm for continuous personal and professional development, identify and implement process improvement, with a willingness to step outside one’s comfort zone to learn new things. Typical work schedule is 100% onsite, M-F 0630-1500.

 

Experience: minimum 3 years government travel experience, dealing with temporary duty (TDY) travel. Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is required.

 

Salary: $22.40 to $37.50 per hour plus Health & Welfare of $4.57 per hour

 

Location: Southwest Regional Maintenance Command (SWRMC)
